MARKET REPORT & INTEREST RATES
Mortgage interest rates have dropped all week and are as low as they have been all year. The 10 yr bond yield continues to drop as well. The Fed rate will be dropping multiple times this year; we just don't know when. July was always off the table but that might not be the case now. The Fed does not meet until the end of the month and several inflation indicators are due in a couple weeks.
San Angelo home buyers and sellers have enjoyed the lower rates and booming stock market over the past couple of weeks. During the past seven days there have been 57 closings and another 50 properties go under contract in our MLS. Since we just ended the second quarter I will highlight some San Angelo residential stats. Overall, we have 559 homes for sale in San Angelo, 193 pending and there are 707 homes sales through the end of June.
Here is an updated chart for Residential sales in San Angelo since 2006.. Look closely! Prices are slightly up this year and should continue to trend this way with interest rates expected to lower in the second half of 2025.
