The commercial area out by the new Kohl's and Sam's Club is growing! Prosperity Bank and Whataburger are already building their new buildings. According to the real estate office that is trying to sell the remainder of pad sites, Abuelo's Mexican Restaurant is planning on building their San Angelo location as well.

I did a deep dive into the median sales prices in San Angelo over the last 15 years. The results are shocking! Since 2006 the median home price in San Angelo has increased 2 1/2 times. The median and average sales prices have increased since last year. It looks like we're going to close out the year at about 1400 sales. This is 250 sales less than 2022, but all things considered with inflation and the interest rates, we are hanging in there. See these numbers...
Economic data has been flowing in this week ahead of the Fed meeting today. All signs are pointing to the Fed holding rates the same and most likely dropping 2 to 3 times next year. This should be great for the interest rates and the real estate market in San Angelo. One factor that has been holding inflation up is the rising cost of rental property in this country. This is also true for San Angelo. With less housing available, more people are having to rent and that is creating demand and increased rents.
