We’ve seen more clients expanding their home search outside San Angelo lately. Some are looking to escape the competitive market in town. Others are looking for lower rural tax rates. For others, it’s space - for a garden, shop, RV, hunting, weekend getaway, the list is endless.

It is possible to find more space and home for the dollar outside town, and it’s true that property tax rates are often lower. Although home supply everywhere is tight, you will have the most success purchasing a home if you use an experienced agent, well-informed of the latest trends, wherever you’re looking.

Use this guide for quick stats on the median single family home sale price over the last 12 months, travel time to San Angelo, school district and high points.
